BOXING IS BACK: NAWAPON CRUISED TO VICTORY

27 Jul 2020

Saturday, July 25, 2020: Slowly but surely boxing is roaring back into action on a global scale. It was Thailand’s WP Boxing promotions turn to get back on track when they hosted their first event in four months at WorkPoint Stadium, earlier today.

The main event featured an all Thai affair as Nawapon Nakornluang defended his WBC Asia bantamweight title against his compatriot, Suradech Ruhasiri.

It was the experience and elite pedigree of Nawapon which proved too much for a game Suradech, as the champion successfully retained his championship title via a fourth-round knockout, landing an inch-perfect right hook to the face of his opponent sending him crashing to the canvas. Suradech didn’t survive the count and it was another victory in the bag for the WBC number two world-ranked bantamweight, Nawapon.

On behalf of WBC Asian Boxing Council President, Pol. General Kovid Bhakdibhumi, and the entire team at the WBC Asia, we would like to congratulate Nawapon on his win and thank Nakornluang promotions for hosting the title contest on their event.
