Thailand’s Chainoi Worrawut this past weekend solified the popular belief that he had the makings of being a global boxing star — in years to come!

The classy, slick, and efficient boxer made the first defense of his World Boxing Council Youth world title, against Chinese pugilist, BingCheng Zou, on the monthly WP Boxing promotion in Bangkok.

Chainoi first claimed the WBC Youth global glory earlier this year when he dethroned the then champion, Muhammad Ashiq, of Singapore, in ruthless fashion, in a performance that set boxing tongues wagging.

Fast forward to this past weekend, Saturday the 20th of July, and it was setup nicely for a main event featuring Chainoi defending his title against the formidable Zou.

The story was written and finished in only chapters that chapter being the fists round as Chainoi shocked even his own cornerteam with his impeccable accuracy and effective aggression which sent his Chinese opponent cracking to the canvas on three occasion within the opening minute and a half.

The man in charge, Dr. Thawuth Pluemsamran, has seen enough and to save Zou from any further unnecessary punishment he called a halt to the contest at the official time of 1:06mins into the opening stanza. With that, Chainoi kept his title and will move onwards and upwards to the next challenge in his fledging pugilistic career.

On behalf of WBC Asia President, Pol. General Kovid Bhakdibhumi, and the entire team at the WBC Asian Boxing Council, we would like to congratulate Chainoi and his team on their continued success.
