Darchinyan back on world track
after winning WBC Asia title

Australian boxer Vic Darchinyan is back on track for more world title glory after stopping talented 22-year-old Filipino southpaw Cris Paulino.
Three divisions world champion Darchinyan KO’d Paulino who came into the contest 14-2 with 4 knockouts.
Darchinyan forced Paulino to retire at the conclusion of round two of the WBC Asia Super Bantamweight Championship.
Paulino connected with accurate combinations in round one against the aggressive Darchinyan, who had problems finding the range against the fast moving Filipino.
Darchinyan hit Paulino with a powerful body shot. After Paulino took the eight count he was unsteady on his feet.
The hard-hitting Darchinyan record now stands at 42-8-1 with 31 knockouts.
Darchinyan said while at the super bantamweight of 55.34 kg he was comfortable he would have no trouble and be faster dropping down a division to the bantamweight limit of 53.53 kg.
