Boxing showcase for charity event in northern Thailand

Sanghanan has a bright boxing future

Sanghanan makes victory gesture

Young gun Sanghanan Sithsaithong showed why he's a rising star of boxing when he won the WBC Batamweight (118 lbs) Continental Championship against Danilo Gabisay (Philippines) in Chiangdao, northern Thailand on 8 May 2015.

All three judges scored Sanghanan the unanimous winner on points for the vacant championship: 116-11, 117/111 and 115/113.

On the same card the WBC Female International Challenge Super Bantamweight contest resulted in a stylish win for Thai contender Saifah S Suparat who outscored Teresa Wintermyr from Sweden 49/47, 50/47 and 49/47.

Saifah has developed into one of Thailand and popular Muay Thai fighters, especially in the northern area. Her next fight will match be a match against Numtal P Muengpetch next month in June.
